After attending church this morning, Dad, Mom, Ike, and I went to gather wood. Once finished we enjoyed the company of friends while warming ourselves by their huge stone fireplace and sharing in left-over christmas cookies. Now, two days after Christmas, the snow is falling outside, and it feels wonderful to be warmly setteled in for the night. The week will be off to a full start in the morning.
There is much to be accomplished in the next couple weeks. Big changes will bring new challenges as well. After a year and half working for a wonderful office, my time will come to an end as I embark on a new journey--if you call MORE SCHOOl a new journey! Though I was hoping for a few days to forget about school, it seems the semester has arrived much sooner than expected! There are books to buy, forms to fill out, bosses to inform, shots to endure, certifications to get...never a dull moment!
I look forward to what I will learn in Occupational Therapy Assissting school. It is safe to say I didn't really think I would be accepted into the program. Many questions are left unasnwered as to why I have been lead down this path. All I can do is trust in God's good and perfect plan. Hopefully whatever purpose there is in it will become the desire of my heart!
I am excited to see what the next year brings. I would be lying if I didn't claim to have some of my own hopes for what may come this year. My hope is for peace and assurance in what I am doing and to be comfortable with myself and confident in my abilities. Of course there are a few "girly" desires as well! God surely has some great things in store.

There really is not much else on my mind to write about--that wouldn't require it's own separate post anyhow. This will have to do for a first post! I am excited to start this blog by the way. Who knows what each post will bring! With that, I'm off to cozy in and watch a movie, or watch the snow fall, or the back of my eyelids...
